Jumeirah Island Mansion

The project

A mansion handled inside and out, where the scale of the reception rooms is set by the lighting rather than by heavy detailing: paired ring pendants hold the ceiling height of the main salon and repeat through the adjoining spaces. The interior runs pale and warm, with a single dark stone cloakroom used as a deliberate change of register. Outside, the terrace, pool and planting were treated as part of the same scheme, so the covered outdoor kitchen and dining area read as another room rather than an addition.
