The Water Court
The project
The approach sets the tone: a path of stone slabs crossing between two black reflecting pools, with a sculpture standing in the water. Inside, travertine runs across floors, walls and the stair, which rises through a double-height living room. The kitchen pairs pale oak with stone and a breakfast bar facing the garden. Bathrooms are clad in heavily veined stone around a black bath. Outside, a long pool with a sun shelf and in-water loungers leads to a timber-roofed pavilion standing in the water, and a covered terrace gives the garden a second living room.
