The project
A house organised around one idea: that the inside and the garden should be a single space. A double-height glazed gable holds the main living and dining volume and opens straight onto the terrace, and a floating timber stair is left exposed inside it rather than hidden in a core. Outside, the terrace, pool, outdoor kitchen and planting were designed with the house rather than added afterwards, which is why the covered dining area reads as another room. The palette stays warm and quiet throughout, pale stone and timber against dense green planting.

Chosen in the hand, not on a screen
Finishes are selected in the studio from physical samples: stone slabs, timber and terrazzo trays, and yarn and colour boards for rugs, laid out against the drawings before anything is ordered.
